York is an area poised to take on
the challenges of a new century by educating the workforce of
tomorrow at a variety of post high school opportunities. This
page is your connection to the many specialty schools that
provide training and success in the new workplace of the 21st
century.
York County is divided into 16 school districts, one
vocational-technical school and an intermediate unit, which
serves children with special needs. Various combinations of
pre-school, primary and secondary are offered by private and
parochial schools. More than half of the 3,520 graduates of
these 16 public schools go on to higher education to learn a
wide variety of skills.
